SCIS to Deprecate Credit Card Swipe Option

This notice is intended for customers who use SuiteCommerce InStore (SCIS). Please be advised that the option to swipe a credit card for SCIS payments and refunds will be deprecated in mid-January 2021.

What Is Changing

We are deprecating support for taking credit card information through swiping a magnetic stripe reader.

Instead of an option to swipe, your sales associate will be taken directly to the form for manual entry. Note that this change does not affect EMV-based credit card payments and refunds.

Recommended Actions

Be prepared to deprecate any magnetic stripe readers dedicated for use with SCIS payments and refunds. Also review important information about card validation via manual entry in the
