Upcoming Changes to Kit/Assembly Components Settings for Custom Segments and Custom Transaction Line

This notification applies to you if your account includes kit or assembly components in custom segments or custom transaction line fields on sales orders and item fulfillments.

Why is NetSuite Making this Change?

This change is being made to provide consistency in how custom field and custom segment values are sourced from sales orders to item fulfillment. This change enables you to define the behavior.

What Is Changing?

Kit/Assembly Components Setting for Custom Segments

As of 2021.1, the behavior of the Kit/Assembly Components box on the Application & Sourcing > Transaction Columns subtab in custom segment configuration will change. Currently, custom segment behavior copies values for kit and assembly segments from sales orders to item fulfillments, even when this box is not checked. After your account is upgraded to 2021.1, this box must be checked for kit or assembly segment values from sales orders to be copied and saved to related item fulfillments.

Regards,

@Robert Nedelkow-Oracle | NetSuite Support Community Administrator
