Originating Lead record added to Personal Information Removal

This notice is intended for customers who have Personal Information (PI) Removal enabled in your account.

Personal Information Removal allows you to hide the personal information of customers from certain records without having to delete the record itself.

In NetSuite, Lead records represent individuals or companies that are potential customers. When a Lead record is converted to a Prospect or a Customer record, an internal record called Originating Lead is created in the background for reporting purposes. This record retains all original data from the Lead record, including personal information of customers.

What is changing?

As of April 6, 2021, the Originating Lead record will be available in the Personal Information Removal tool. To remain compliant with your data privacy regulations, perform the required action below to hide personal information included in any of the existing Originating Lead records.
