NSC | Sales Rep Field is Not Updating in the Opportunity Record
Scenario:
The company recently updated the assigned Sales Rep in Customer record and its opportunities are not updating the Sales Rep field.
To recreate:
1. Navigate to Lists > Relationships > Customers.
2. Select a Customer record with the recently updated Sales Rep field.
3. Open the related opportunity record and the Sales Rep field is not updated.
Solution:
It is a standard behavior of NetSuite that the changes on the customer records do not carry over to existing opportunities.
To update existing opportunities with updated customer information, you may edit the opportunity, change the customer field temporarily, change it back to the original value, then
