New To NetSuite | Order to Cash: Entering Sales Order
A Sales Order is a non-GL impacting transaction as it only documents the commitment to sell Items or Services to a Customer.
Sales Orders can be created in two ways:
Create a Sales Order from an existing Estimate, a record for Customers to review and request changes before accepting the order
- You can check the list of Estimates by navigating to Transactions > Sales > Prepare Estimates > List
Create a standalone Sales Order
- To enter a standalone Sales Order, navigate to Transactions > Sales > Enter Sales Order.
In the Custom Form field, you can choose from standard Sales Order forms in NetSuite or custom forms tailored to your business needs.
