NSC | TDS: Unable to Change or Edit Threshold Controls
Scenario
User wants to change the threshold basis of its Tax Deduction at Source Tax Rate Rules. User wants the Retrospective checkbox to be marked from Yes to No, however, it is greyed out.
Solution
This is the standard behavior when the TDS Tax Rate Rules has been used or associated already in a transaction.
To validate if there are existing transactions:
1. Navigate to Reports > New Search then click Transaction.
2. Add in Criteria tab the field INDIA TDS ID (Custom Column) with value = choose the tax rule you wish to edit
3. Click Submit.
For now, the only way to be able to edit it is to remove any associated transactions. Kindly review thoroughly and check before deleting any records as this is nonreversible.
