NSC | Customize Balance Sheet: Show Prior Quarters as of Report Date

Scenario

User wants to customize the Balance Sheet report to show the balances as of report date. User also wants additional columns to be displayed to show prior balances by period of previous quarters.

Solution

Using calendar year - by having Jan 2024 as the report date, last fiscal year would be Dec 2023 since it will be looking at the 2024 as this fiscal year which means last fiscal year of 2024 would be Dec 2023. Further, if we select the quarters for the last fiscal year, it would be: As of Dec 2023, As of Sept 2023, As of June 2023, and as of March 2023.
