New to NetSuite | Client Script: validateDelete(scriptContext)
in SuiteCloud
After discussing all the types of SuiteScript in the New to NetSuite | SuiteScript Types Overview article, we are now focusing on the different types of Client Script. The validateDelete is used to validate the deletion of a sublist line before it is removed. This event is triggered when a user attempts to delete an existing line in an editable sublist on a record. It provides developers with the ability to control whether the deletion is allowed based on custom business logic.
Return Value:
- Returns true if the line deletion is valid and can proceed.
- Returns false if the deletion should be blocked.
