NSC | Customize Financial Report Builder > Remove Hierarchy on Account
Scenario:
The user has a customized Income Statement report with the "Show Zeros" option enabled and the "Activity Only" checkbox disabled. They observe that the header and line GL (General Ledger) Account entries are repeating with zero values. They seek guidance on how to modify the report to not have these repeated accounts displayed with zero values.
Solution:
The repetition of header lines and GL Accounts on the other hand occurs because the report groups all related accounts under their corresponding main account. This is based on the hierarchy structure, where, for example, 4000-2000 - Sales - Export is the main account, and the other two accounts beneath it are sub-accounts. This grouping and display in the report is standard behavior, reflecting the hierarchical organization of accounts.
