NSC | How to Default a Non-Inventory Item Location Based on Sales Rep
When using a Workflow to automatically add Non-Inventory Items to a Quote, the item location often defaults to the location on the Item Record. This article explains how to modify the Workflow to ensure the Non-Inventory Item’s Location defaults to the Sales Rep's Location instead.
Solution:
- Edit the Workflow:
Go to Customization > Workflow > Workflows and edit the relevant Workflow. - Add a Set Field Value Action:
- Action Type: Set Field Value
- Field: Choose Location (Line)
- Value: From Field
- Record (Join Field): Sales Rep
- Field: Location from the Sales Rep record.
- Save:
Save the action to update the Workflow.
