New to NetSuite | Order to Cash: Creating a Payment Method

A Payment Method represents an Account that transactions write into. It allows you to configure the Account and define how Payment Processing is carried out.

You can also use Payment Methods when configuring Payment Processing Profiles.

To create a Payment Method, navigate to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Lists > New > select Payment Method

Key fields in Payment Method

  • Name - Enter the name for this record. This name appears in lists that include this record.
  • Type - Select the Type of the Payment Method from the list.
  • Debit Card - Check this box if the Payment Method is a type of debit card.
