NSC | What Happens When Enable Accounting Period Window is Checked?
Scenario
The user wants to understand the impact of enabling the "Accounting Period Window" preference on the "Manage Accounting Periods" page and seeks clarification on its intended functionality.
Solution
If the Enable Accounting Period Window preference = T and set the Minimum Period Window Size = 5:
When you enable the mentioned preference, you should see five unlocked accounting periods on the "Manage Accounting Periods" page. These include the current period and the immediate future periods. For instance, if it is currently May 2025, the unlocked periods will be May, June, July, August, and September 2025. All other future periods beyond September will be locked. The system automatically adjusts to unlock the next future period as time progresses.
