NSC | How to Resolve Journal Entry Import - Account Error
Scenario:
A user prepares a journal entry CSV file containing a line with Account Internal ID 1005, labeled as "Sales Revenue – EMEA". During the import, an error occurs. When checking the Chart of Accounts, it is discovered that the account is currently marked as Inactive, causing the import to fail. Alternatively, if the account is a Summary account (used only for reporting and grouping sub-accounts), it also cannot be used for posting transactions, resulting in the same error.
Solution:
- Log in to NetSuite with a role that has sufficient permissions (e.g., Administrator).
