New to NetSuite | Understanding Subsidiary Structure
In the previous article, we covered an Overview of OneWorld. In this article, we’ll explore various configurations for leveraging the OneWorld feature, starting with an understanding of subsidiaries.
A subsidiary is a means of managing data across a hierarchical structure of separate legal entities. Each subsidiary represents a separate company within a global organization. They can be international or domestic.
To view the list of subsidiaries, go to Setup > Company >Subsidiaries.
In OneWorld, subsidiaries are set up in a tree-like structure. At the top is the root subsidiary, which is the main or parent company. All other subsidiaries are connected under it.
