Error: Invalid Expression When Using a Formula in Creating a Transaction Saved Search
When creating a Transaction Saved Search using the Formula: SUBSTR({account},1,1), the system throws an error: ERROR: Invalid Expression. But when it's modified to SUBSTR({account},2,1), it properly shows the 2nd value from the account number.
This error happens when the Formula Context used is Formula (Numeric) instead of Formula (Text).
To resolve this:
- Go to Results Tab of the Transaction Saved Search.
- Select Formula (Text).
- Click Save & Run.
The Transaction Saved Search now shows the value from the account number.
