New to NetSuite | SuiteQL Join Type: Outer Joins
In the New to NetSuite | SuiteQL Overview article, we explored the fundamental concepts an d capabilities of SuiteQL. We continued this in New to NetSuite | SuiteQL: SuiteQL Join Types Overview, where we discussed various join types. In this article, we focus on one specific join type: Outer Joins.
An Outer Join is used to retrieve data from two tables based on a common value, but unlike an Inner join, it includes unmatched rows from one or both tables—depending on the type of outer join you use. This ensures that you don’t lose data even when there’s no exact match between the two tables.
