RERUN: Creating NetSuite Saved Search Formulas | Q & A
Here is the list of questions sent out during the webinar rerun on September 9, 2025, along with the answers provided.
Can the CONTAINS function be used to test a list of values? similar to the list function in SQL
In NetSuite Saved Searches, the CONTAINS function is generally used to determine if a field contains a specific substring within its value for example, to see if an email field contains gmail. However, CONTAINS itself cannot test a field against a list of multiple possible values in a single function call.
You may use multiple CONTAINS (or LIKE clauses) with OR logic to test for several possibilities.
