New to NetSuite | Resolving Fixed Asset Module Errors for Mandatory NFP Program Segment
Scenario: Error with the Mandatory “Program” Field
You may see an error such as: USER_ERROR: Please enter value(s) for: Program
This often appears when:
- Creating new assets through the Fixed Asset Management (FAM) process (e.g., through Asset Proposal after raising a vendor bill).
- Generating a depreciation schedule, or during asset transfer transactions.
- The “Program” field (from the NFP bundle) is set as mandatory, but the process cannot find this value in some required asset-related records.
Typical workflow affected:
- Vendor bill is entered with a Program value.
- Asset proposal and asset creation carry over the Program program.
- Error occurs on creation or depreciation schedule generation, despite the Program appearing on records.
