New to NetSuite | N/log Module Overview

In our previous article, New to NetSuite | Understanding SuiteScript 2.x Modules, we explored the SuiteScript Modules. Now, let’s take a closer look at the N/log Module.

The N/log module is used for logging messages in scripts. It allows developers to write logs at different levels (debug, audit, error, and emergency) during the execution of their SuiteScript code. This is especially helpful for debugging, monitoring, and maintaining scripts.

Log Levels:

  • DEBUG: Detailed technical information for troubleshooting.
  • AUDIT: Important business events or normal operation milestones.
  • ERROR: Issues that have occurred but do not stop the script.
  • EMERGENCY: Critical issues that require immediate attention.
