NetSuite Admin Tip | Updating Inbound Shipment Number

The Set Up Auto-Generated Numbers page allows users with the Administrator role to choose which records are automatically numbered when they are created. On this page, users can also add prefixes and suffixes to the numbers. These help identify the type of record, transaction, or document, and sometimes indicate how old it is. 

When navigating to Setup > Company > Auto-Generated Numbers, users only see the Entities, Document Numbers, and CRM tabs. The Transaction Numbers tab is not available, which prevents them from updating the Inbound Shipment Number. 

Transaction Numbers tab is hidden by default. To expose this, users may need to perform the following:
