NSC | FAM Asset Register Report Shows Doubled Acquisition After Asset Transfer
When generating the Fixed Asset Management (FAM) Asset Register Report in NetSuite, you may notice that an asset’s Acquisition amount appears doubled after an Asset Transfer. Although this can look like an error at first glance, it is a known and documented system behavior. The asset’s Net Book Value (NBV) remains correct because the report also includes an offset amount related to the transfer.
This behavior is consistent with SuiteAnswer 87586 | FAM Asset Transfer > Acquisition Cost Doubles in Depreciation.
