NSC | Resolving Depreciation Error: MAP_ERROR – Inactive Location

in Accounting / ERP

During the depreciation process, the following error may occur: Error:Depreciation > MAP_ERROR: The following field(s) are inactive: Location. This issue arises when one or more locations associated with Fixed Asset Management (FAM) records are set to inactive in the system.

Root Cause

The depreciation process references locations linked to BG Summary records. If any of these locations are inactive, the system cannot process depreciation correctly, resulting in the MAP_ERROR.

Resolution:

Step I: Identify Inactive Locations via Saved Search

To determine which locations are inactive, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to: List > Search > Saved Searches > New
  2. Select: BG Summary Records
