NSC | Custom Form: Rename Standard Buttons
A common customization request in NetSuite is changing standard button labels to better match internal business terminology.
Scenario
An administrator wanted to rename the standard Approve button on a Sales Order to a more business-friendly label.
Change the button label via Custom Form:
NetSuite:
1. Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms
NetSuite Next:
1. Explore Button > Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms
2. Click Edit on your Custom Form
3. On your Custom Transaction Form, do the following steps below:
- Open the Actions subtab
- Change the Label of your button (in this case we’ll use the Approve button)
4. Click on Save
Results
Once done, the Approve button should now be renamed as shown below:
