NSC | Displaying Diagonal Lines in Advanced PDF/HTML Templates
Advanced PDF/HTML Templates in NetSuite support many formatting options, but not all standard HTML and CSS properties are compatible with the PDF rendering engine.
Scenario
A user attempted to create a diagonal line using CSS rotation:
transform: rotate(45deg);
Although the line appeared correctly inside the editor, it did not render in the generated PDF output.
Change the code on your Advanced PDF/HTML Template:
On your Advanced PDF/HTML Template, apply the code below:
<p rotate="-45" font-size="48pt">______________</p>
Results:
Once done, the diagonal line should now appear on your template as shown below:
Explanation:
The issue was caused by a limitation of the BFO report generator used by NetSuite Advanced PDF/HTML Templates, which does not fully support the CSS transform property.
