NSC | Resolve Error: "Invalid Custrecord_xx Reference Key XX" When Performing CSV Import for Custom

Use Case:
Users may encounter the error below when importing Custom Records through CSV Import in NetSuite:

Invalid custrecord_xx reference key XX

One possible cause of this error is that the CSV import references an inactive Custom Record.

Reactivating the referenced Custom Record resolves the issue and allows the import process to proceed successfully.

How It Works:

  1. Log in using the Administrator role
  2. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types
  3. Show Inactives: Check the box
  4. Locate the affected Custom Record
  5. Under the Inactive column > Remove checkmark
  6. Click Submit

This will reactivate the Custom Record and resolve the reference key error during the CSV import process.
