NSC | Restrict Inline Editing on Saved Search Results

Use Case: 
 
Users may want to prevent a Custom Role from performing inline edits directly from Saved Search results. 

This can be done by disabling inline editing on the form used by the role. 

How It Works: 

1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Entry Forms 
2. Locate the preferred form and click Edit 
3. Disable the following option: 

• Enable Field Editing On Lists: Remove the checkmark  

4. Click Save 

Note: 
 
Users may also create a separate Custom Form, assign it as the preferred form for selected roles, and restrict those roles to that form. 

This prevents the selected roles from using inline editing. 

NetSuite currently does not support enabling inline editing for specific fields only. Inline editing is either enabled for all supported fields or disabled entirely.
