NSC | Advanced Intercompany Journal Entry Displays Elimination Amount Warning

Scenario

When creating or saving an Advanced Intercompany Journal Entry, the user receives the following warning:

“The elimination amount is not balanced in the intercompany transaction. Do you want to continue?”

This may occur even when the journal entry debit and credit totals appear balanced.

This warning is standard behavior for Advanced Intercompany Journal Entries.

The message may appear when the elimination amount is not balanced across the subsidiaries involved in the transaction. It may also occur when the accounts marked for elimination use different rate types.

Troubleshooting

Before proceeding, review the transaction setup and journal details:

  • Verify that the correct subsidiaries are selected on each journal line.
