NSC | What Happens When You Refresh a Sandbox After It Has Been Upgraded
Scenario
A user is working in a sandbox account that has already been upgraded to a newer NetSuite release for testing. However, the connected production account is still on the previous release.
The user wants to refresh the sandbox from production, so the sandbox contains the latest production data, customizations, and configuration. The concern is whether the sandbox will remain on the newer upgraded version or revert to the production account version after the refresh.
A sandbox may sometimes be upgraded to a newer NetSuite version before the production account is upgraded. This can happen during a NetSuite release cycle when sandbox accounts are available for pre-upgrade testing.
