New to NetSuite | How to Refund a Customer Deposit paid via Payment Link
Refunding customer deposits paid through Payment Links in NetSuite provides a controlled and efficient approach to managing customer reimbursements while maintaining financial accuracy and transaction traceability.
Scenario
User needed to Refund for a Customer Deposit processed via Payment Link but not sure how to create the Refund since the Credit Card number and details is not visible on any transactions processed via Payment link.
Solution
1. Initiate the Refund via Payment Processor Portal
- NetSuite does not store full card details for tokenized/linked payments.
- The refund should be processed directly through the payment processor’s merchant portal (e.g., Stripe, Cybersource, Worldpay, PayPal, etc.) that handled the original payment link transaction.
