NSC | Why a Custom Record cannot be Deleted
Scenario
A user attempts to delete a custom record, but the delete action is unavailable or NetSuite prevents the deletion.
Common symptoms include:
- The Delete button is missing.
- Users receive an error when attempting deletion.
- Administrators can delete the record, but standard users cannot.
- The record appears linked to other records or transactions.
This is a common issue in SuiteBuilder environments where permissions, dependencies, workflows, or system relationships prevent record deletion.
