Scenario
A user wanted to better understand the status behavior of Cash Sale transactions in NetSuite and determine how to ensure that a Cash Sale is properly marked as deposited.
The business needed visibility into when a Cash Sale is considered undeposited versus deposited and wanted to avoid situations where Cash Sale payments remain unapplied or excluded from bank deposits.
Solution
In NetSuite, the status of a Cash Sale depends on whether the payment has been included in a bank deposit.
Cash Sale Status Behavior
- A Cash Sale remains undeposited when the payment has not yet been included in a Bank Deposit transaction.
