Theory time on Hosted HTML vs Promotional URL's for Landing Pages
Our Public Relations / Press Release season is upon us.
For the month of November 2007, we will create 20-30 URL's for public relations. As an example, the first press release will be the "Top 10 Buying Mistakes and How to Avoid Them".
An example of a URL would be:
www.mysite.com/top10
The question is do we simply create hosted html pages for these URL's or do we create promotional URL's.
hosted html pages:
Pros: no 301 redirects, any inbound links to these pages would be "pure"
We can "dumb" down the navigation as a "squeeze page".
