Turning an Individual customer to a company

HI,
I have a quick question, hope some one can help me. We have set up our site to include the company name during registration and we have not made it as a mandatory field. So when any customer registers with his name and if he enters company name, we want that customer to be in the system as a company rather than as an individual. Right now all the customers are being treated as individuals even tho they are companies. Is there any thing that we can do so as to force netsuite to treat them as companies if their
