Confirmation Green Bar - Turn off or...?

The big green confirmation bar when saving a transaction is distracting.  Is there a way to turn that off?   It also seems to possibly be a culprit for slowing us down....I'm guessing we're approving orders and billing orders at 50% the speed we used to be at before the new UI.
