off topic, who do you like for your email hosting

Our email has always been hosted by the place where we purchase our domains.  We're thinking it is just too slow and featureless. It doesn't work well with IMAP, only POP. Anyhow, looking around I find ZOHO and rackspace and AWS and FastMail and others.  Looking for someone to steer me in the right direction. Any opinions on this?
