Summary Criteria Search - Equivalent of Duplicate Detection but for Item Custom Field

We have a scenario where our customer assigns a value to a custom field that they use Externally when displaying Item Availability and Pricing so their competitors cannot map to an actual SKU.  I am trying to create a search that will return a result if more than 1 item has the same external part number custom field.

I have not done Summary Criteria in a while but thought it would be simple.

Summary Criteria:
Summary Type=Count
Field=EPN (Custom)
is Greater than 1

Results:
Field=EPN
Summary Type=Group  (have also tried Count)

I would think it would return my 2 test items that have the same EPN but I always get No Results Found
