Is there a way to change the default action on a button?

i.e.

This is taken from an expense report.

On selecting the save button, I was wanting the record to 'save & [create] new' (as soon as the 'save' button is pressed and without needing to select the drop down arrow on the button). Is that possible using the standard user interface customisations?

Or does that need a script or workflow?
