getPostingTransactionSummary - Balance Sheet Opening and Closing Balances.

Anybody have any success in using getPostingTransactionSummary to pull opening  balances using the SuiteTalk API on a monthly basis? Trying to pull the Balance Sheet info out of NetSuite and mirror the Balance Sheet report.
