Serial or Lot tracking for Assembly Help.

I am trying to assign a serial number to a roll of material, yet the finished good unit it not eaches or rolls, but the total square meters. Any thoughts on how to do this?

Example, I can produce 1,750 square meters on a completion from a work order and have it cut into 7 rolls, yet the stocking unit and salable unit is sq meters, not eaches or rolls.
