Opportunity Probability - Conditional Defaults
Hello,
Currently, we have a custom field in our Opportunity form to show more accurately the stage in which the opportunity is in. We are then using this field, alongside a fieldChanged script to change the value of the opportunity's probability. However, when the opportunity status is changed, the probability value is being overwritten by what is in Setup -> Sales -> Customer Statuses.
Looking at the Opportunity Netsuite Schema Browser, it gives me the following info for the probability field:
If the value for probability is not provided, a calculated value based on the Status populates the field. If the value for probability is set, it overrides the slaved value depending on the default settings. For example:
