Setting Event Access when "Creating Record" from Workflow

Can I create a new Event record with "Public" Event Access using an ARS Workflow on the Task record?

Details:

We have a highly customized Task environment where our Sales team tracks activities currently. We would like to be able to leverage this to show future events as well and share them with calendars on other devices. This requires us to generate correlating Events for some Tasks. I am doing this with a Workflow now that "Creates Record" after a new Task record is submitted.

We want these auto-generated Events to be marked "Public" so they will be included when users set up a shared public iCal URL.
