Mark items which have been subtotalled

Hi Gurus

I'm looking for a way to mark items on an order/invoice which are included in a subtotal item.

EG if I add three lines to an SO, then add a subtotal, I would like to see an indication on those first three lines to show that they are included in a subtotal. Happy to add a custom field (checkbox?) to the lines called eg "Is subtotalled"

Any help would be much appreciated
