Are Committing or Committed fields still active when using Supply Allocation?

edited Jun 2, 2025 2:30PM in Accounting / ERP 3 comments

Hello,

We recently enabled Supply Allocation. So far it seems to be working well with our configurations.

I am curious though about whether committment is still being used.

I have a custom saved search for picking that looks at orders where the committed quantity matches the required quantity. This tells the picker we are good to go.

Some documentation states that committing orders is no longer used when using allocations. However, it is still visible, and jobs seem to be committing items.

Can anyone confirm that committing or committed fields are still active when using Supply Allocation, and therefore I can still rely on using those fields?

Howdy, Stranger!
