The production release of Oracle Database Programming Interface for C (ODPI-C) 2.0.0 is now available on GitHub https://github.com/oracle/odpi.
ODPI-C is an open source library of C code that simplifies access to Oracle Database for applications written in C or C++. It is a wrapper over OCI.
Check out all the ODPI-C 2.0 features in the release announcement at https://blogs.oracle.com/opal/open-source-library-drives-powerful-oracle-database-applications
ODPI-C is being used by us for the Python cx_Oracle 6 interface https://github.com/oracle/python-cx_Oracle, and in node-oracledb 2 for Node.js https://github.com/oracle/node-oracledb/tree/dev-2.0. Members of the wider community have also started Go https://github.com/go-goracle/goracle/tree/v2.0.0, Rust https://github.com/rustyhorde/mimir, and Ruby https://github.com/kubo/ruby-odpi interfaces too. These code bases are handy, bigger examples of how to use ODPI-C.
