The latest OTN ArchBeat Podcast program is a three part discussion of the BSO/ASO Hybrid Aggregation Mode in Oracle Essbase, otherwise known as Hybrid Essbase. The topic was suggested by Oracle ACE Director Cameron Lackpour, who took on the role of guest producer and guest host for this discussion.

Not familiar with Hybrid Essbase? Here's how Cameron described it in a March 24, 2014 post on his blog:

"Hybrid…is a fascinating piece of code. What it essentially does is bring ASO dynamic aggregations to BSO databases. This is beyond huge because it solves the data explosion issue that has bedeviled BSO Essbase since its inception."
