Build a Blockchain Solution in 45 Minutes with Oracle Blockchain Cloud Service
During this deep-dive session learn how to build a decentralized blockchain application using Oracle Blockchain Cloud Service, built on top of the open source, freely available Hyperledger Fabric. The session begins with an introduction to Oracle Blockchain Cloud Service and the rationale behind the choice of Hyperledger Fabric in relation to other (private) blockchains. Step through the pre-requirements and then see how to build a blockchain network, join multiple organizations, configure communication channels, and write and deploy your first blockchain application. Come away understanding how to set up a practical blockchain and the concepts behind it.
Robert van Molken
At AMIS Robert van Molken helps companies design and develop application integration solutions both on-premises and in the cloud. Traditionally the solutions were based on Oracle’s middleware stack, but lately, he advises solutions that use a more cloud-native or hybrid approach. In addition to working in application integration development, he is a developer advocate for blockchain, IoT, and microservices.
His fascination with using the latest technology led to his research of blockchain to replace the currently used B2B and B2C integration patterns and tooling. This resulted in him writing a book about blockchain (across Oracle) that explores the technology behind blockchain, the implications and real-world use-cases of using blockchain, and ways to implement your permissioned blockchain.
Robert is heavily involved in the Oracle developer community. He is an international speaker at conferences, an author/blogger on the AMIS Technology blog and the Oracle Technology Network, and a participant in Oracle Technology Network ArchBeat podcasts. He is also the technology officer in the board of directors of the Dutch Oracle User Group (nlOUG) and organizes the emergency technologies meetups. For this effort, Robert was named an Oracle ACE Associate in 2015, an Oracle ACE in 2016, and a Developer Champion in 2017 (Oracle Groundbreaker Ambassador).
