The relaxing French colonial Vietnamese ambiance and exquisite cuisine supported networking and discussing the latest announcements from Open World, and gave us the chance to thank our honored VAD community in person for their huge contribution to Oracle’s business success.

As a very exclusive by invitation only event, the Global VAD Executive Forum took place on 4th October - luncheon is the perfect format for the VAD senior management to network and liaise.

Hosted by Brian Hamel, Senior Vice-President Converged Infrastructure Sales, this high-level event took place on October 4th at the Golden Gate Yacht Club.

With 40 VAD executives globally and Oracle senior management including the regional VAD sales leaders Al Patel(EMEA), Dale Weideling (North America), Francislaine Muratorio(LAD) and Lalit Malik (JAPAC), the meeting was to transfer just top key messages during a short presentation.

The welcome and introduction to the rich history of the America’s Cup by Norbert Bajurin, Commodore of the GGYC, the stunning view from across the Golden Gate bridge and seated luncheon made this an enjoyable and successful meeting in a very exclusive atmosphere.

Accenture also launched their Cloud Suite for Oracle to accelerate moving clients to the Cloud.

 

These releases came on top of an already very packed and successful Oracle OpenWorld 2017 for Accenture. There has been a great partner commitment with more than 70 participants from 16 countries in EMEA. Accenture is a Grande sponsor of the event, with a fantastic and very busy booth and presenting 25 keynote speeches incl. many presenters from our EMEA core team such as Julian Dontcheff and Sergio Peris.

 

Accenture received the Global Specialized Partner of the Year award for HCM Cloud as well as the Largest Revenue Deal award at the MSP Global Council meeting.

 

In addition, Oracle team had a number of pre-meetings at Redwood Shores, Accenture participation in Infrastructure Tour, MSP Summit, PaaS Advisory Council and Oracle Cloud Platform Partner Advisory Council.

 

After Oracle OpenWorld, Oracle team will host the Accenture EMEA team at our Redwood Shores Exec Briefing Center on October 5th, to kick off their new fiscal year. Our results so far have been great, our ambitions for the Alliance much higher.

More than 100 Oracle Cloud Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners gathered on Friday 29 October at the Oracle HQ Conference Center in Redwood Shores, for the very first Global Cloud MSP Council.

    

Penny PhilpotPenny Philpot, GVP, Worldwide Alliances& Channels, hosted the full-day event, opened by Thomas Kurian, President Product Development, with his keynote on Oracle’s Cloud strategy and Oracle OpenWorld 2017  main messages.

  

MSP GroupAndy Bird, InoappsThis highly interactive business-focused event had Oracle executives presentations as well as key EMEA partners such as Capgemini, Inoapps and Reply sharing their successes and best practices.   

  

In the workgroup discussions, MSP’s had the opportunity to share business ideas on how to grow the MSP business and make the MSP Program even better - and presented the outcome of these workshops to the Oracle Corporate executives.

Alistair hopkinsFinally, Alistair Hopkins, Vice President, EMEA & APAC Cloud MSP Sales, and Rich Geraffo, Senior Vice President, North America Technology Division, delivered MSP recognitions to Capgemini in France (1st Global Go-Live), Reply in Germany (1st Order, Lift and Shift Apps Unlimited to Cloud Machine), Accenture in the US (Biggest Total Contract Value Booked), Infosys in APAC (Most Deals Booked) and Inoapps in the UK (Most Innovative).

On Saturday, 30 September 2017 the EMEA Partner Appreciation Reception took place at one of the best-known galleries of its kind on the West Coast - The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

 

During this year’s Oracle OpenWorld Partner Appreciation Reception and award ceremony, the EMEA A&C organization recognized the outstanding contribution, commitment, and value which our partners bring consistently to the Oracle business.

 

The 10 award-winning partners represented in an exemplary way the wide spectrum of solutions and geographies covered by the partner ecosystem.

 

More than 300 attendees joined the reception at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art which offered a unique space with stylish installations.

 

Highlights of the evening included the award ceremony hosted by Alistair Hopkins, the animating music of DJ Celeste and the free access to part of the Museum’s extraordinary collection of Modern Art. The vivid networking between partner attendees from all EMEA geographies, representatives from Oracle Corporate, Sales, EMEA A&C and other teams made this a very special evening.
