Before submitting your Affordable Care Act 1095-C and 1094-C electronic files, you must submit a test to the IRS with a sample from your records. The IRS has provided a few test scenarios that you can use.  JD Edwards EnterpriseOne recommends using IRS Test Scenario 7.

Example of How to Set Up Test Data for IRS Communication Test Scenario 7 (Doc ID 2132236.1) provides a step by step process for creating your test file. In addition, examples of the transmission and manifest files are provided.

Note: Please be advised that you cannot submit your test to the IRS until JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software is certified.  We are currently awaiting certification. Please refer to Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Announces ACA Health Coverage Information Returns – Phase 2 Availability (Doc ID 2122195.1) for details on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software certification.

The Real-Time Grid Summarization was added with the Tools Release 9.1.5. This new feature enables users to click on specific grid columns for which data will be totaled and summarized in new easy to view formats. Previously, users were required to navigate to the bottom of the grid to find totals, a process that is time consuming and is likely to cause system time out with a very large numbers of grid rows. With real-time summarization, users have immediate access to critical totals. The return of totals in milliseconds to seconds rather than minutes to hours results in better real-time decision-making and shortens the time to complete key business processes such as closing financial books and forecasting.

ACA Phase II - 1094-C and Electronic Filing

On March 30, 2016, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne announced the availability of Phase 2 of the ACA Health Coverage Information Returns for releases 9.0 and 9.1.

ACA Health Coverage Information Returns support new employer reporting requirements under the Affordable Care Act health care law. Under the Affordable Care Act, applicable large employers (those with 50 or more full-time employees) must file information returns with the IRS and also provide statements to full-time employees about health coverage the employer offered or to show the employer didn’t offer coverage.

Refer to Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Announces ACA Health Coverage Information Returns – Phase 2 Availability (Doc ID 2122195.1) for details and information on how to access the Electronic Software Update (ESU).

Other Important ACA Information can be found in the following knowledge documents and community posts:

Automatic Table Cache Refresh is an enhancement added with release 9.1 Update 2. This new feature provides for the automatic clearing of certain table caches when updates occur. This will enable data to be changed and made available to users without the downtime previously associated with this process.

Many applications that update data in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne have been modified to enable this automatic clearing of the table cache. A typical example of such an application is the Company Constants (P0010) application. Table caching is a feature within JD Edwards EnterpriseOne that improves the performance of many applications. This is done by caching tables that are very often accessed for many processes to limit the number of database operations. These tables contain setup data such as constants and master tables. The main characteristic of cached tables is that the data in these tables does not change on a regular basis. One limitation of table caching is that if data is updated, users do not have immediate access to the new information.

In order to use this feature it is necessary to obtain the modified code for each application where the feature is used and to do some specific set up.

For the list of bugs check document Oracle Announces JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 Automatic Table Cache Refresh (Doc ID 1595627.1).

And for the setup details check the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne System Administration Guide (27.3 Resetting Database Table Cache Using a Pre-Configured Application), link from 9.1.x Tools manual.

Companies can use Receipt Routing to track the movement of items as they leave the Supplier's warehouse until they arrive in stock through a series of operations that make up a Receipt Route. Depending on the operations, several steps may exist, such as dock, staging area, inspection, and so forth.

Any company that has a multi-step receiving process can benefit by using a Receipt Route. Receipt Routing allows companies to locate goods at any point within the routing process, which can be setup to track from the "in transit" operation to stock. A Receipt Route can be setup to require testing or inspection where samples are tested to determine the quality of the goods. Unacceptable goods, regardless of how they are found, can be dispositioned during any step prior to being placed into stock. Quantities that are dispositioned will not continue in the receipt route and will not be included in stock. Dispositioned items can be eligible for payment if the system is setup that way.

For an all inclusive document on receipt routing, review Receipt Routing (Doc ID 2101173.2).  You will find all the information on route setup, disposition, reviewing each movement of an item through a receipt route, the AAIs used in receipt routing , examples of transactions and much, much more.
