Are you an experienced user of Oracle E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud? If so, we have an excellent new accreditation track that will help you leverage additional resources and insights from our product support team.
The new accreditation will empower you to:
  • Build a customized toolkit of resources for Oracle E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud. This includes creating bookmarks for knowledge documents and web pages, and setting up "Hot Topics Emails" to notify you when a knowledge document in your toolkit is updated.
  • Leverage both My Oracle Support Community and Oracle Cloud Customer Connect to find information, ask questions, and interact with industry peers and Oracle Support in a 24/7 environment.
  • Utilize patching and backup processes in targeted ways, like learning how to clone utilities in order to move an application from on-premises to Oracle Cloud.
  • Take advantage of guided resolutions in the Oracle Knowledge Base and within the service request (SR) creation flows to create effective SRs and speed up your resolution times.

A new release of Oracle Database will soon be available. We encourage you to start planning now to stay current.
We recommend the following upgrade options:
  • If you are currently running 11.2.0.4/12.1.0.2 and you have an Unlimited License Agreement with no immediate need to upgrade, Oracle Database 19c is a good choice. The production release of Oracle Database 19c will be available in CY2019.

  • If you are currently running 11.2.0.4/12.1.x and you need to upgrade now, 18c is a good choice.             
    • NOTE: Oracle Database 18c will be supported for two years after Oracle Database 19c platforms have released on-premises. Oracle Database 19c is the Long Term Support Release or “Terminal Patch Set” for Oracle Database 12.2.
 
The purpose of these recommendations is to help you stay within the guidelines of Lifetime Support and Error Correction Policies (allowing you to avoid costly support exceptions), and to encourage you to take advantage of the new features that are available in the latest product releases.

 

For questions related to certification combinations and Lifetime Support agreements with other Oracle products like Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle JD Edwards, Oracle PeopleSoft, and Oracle Siebel, please contact your Oracle Account Representative.

Through our award-winning My Oracle Support portal, you have access to powerful proactive tools, resources, and knowledge that can help you manage your applications and technology, and allow you to optimize product health and performance.
Begin by reviewing Oracle Support: Get Proactive (Doc ID 432.1), the main location to access proactive programs and product line content. This guide was developed by our own Oracle Support experts and is available via the My Oracle Support portal and Mobile My Oracle Support.

 

Doc ID 432.1 allows you to choose your product area and select the type of task you want to accomplish (Optimize, Resolve, or Upgrade), and will then provide you with resources tailored to your business need.
Get Proactive - Document 432.1
Check out the Get Proactive - Oracle Support Events Calendar (Doc ID 125716.1), which displays upcoming training and user group events. The Events Calendar will also display information about recorded events you can play back, and even let Oracle user groups add events by emailing Get-Proactive_ww@oracle.com!

 

The Events Calendar integrates with your own calendar via Outlook or Thunderbird, and is accessible through My Oracle Support or Mobile My Oracle Support.
