Announcing Taleo Enterprise 20B (May 2020)

Taleo Enterprise Update 20B (OTAC/TEE) is available, effective May 18, 2020.

To help you prepare, we are pleased to announce the availability of the following release readiness materials and documentation:

 

Taleo Enterprise New Feature Summary (update 20B)

Taleo Enterprise What’s New (update 20B)

Taleo Enterprise User and Implementation Guides (update 20B)

Taleo Enterprise Maintenance Packs (update 20B) Requires login to My Oracle Support.

 

Additional information on Fluid Recruiting and the 20B update can be found on Cloud Customer Connect.

 

Your Action:  Please log a Service Request via My Oracle Support to request update 20B.
Note: Taleo Enterprise updates are not automatically applied.*However, there are the following exceptions:

  • 20B is a mandatory update. 20B will be applied automatically even if it is not requested. For more information click here.
  • US Government Customer: Every Quarterly Update is now automatically applied to all US Government Customers each quarter.
  • End of Life (EOL) considerations: Any TEE/TSS version reaching EOL will received the latest version automatically. For more info on upcoming EOL dates click here.

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service release 19A will be deployed to Production LearnCenters on February 15, 2019. The release is currently available in the Staging sites for testing. This feature release also resolves issues reported by customers. This feature includes the following:

 

LearnCenter Designer Enhancements

  • New WYSIWYG Button for the LearnCenter Designer

BI Reporting Enhancements

  • Update to Delta Data Field
  • New Data View

LearnCenter Course Player Enhancements

  • New Default Launch Mode for LearnCenter Course Player

Bulk Loader Enhancements

  • Update to Enrollment Bulk Loader

Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud

  • Field Label Renamed

 

The next release is 19B, scheduled for a May 2019 general release.

 

Customers who have issues resolved by the 19A release are advised to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service release 18D will be deployed on November 16, 2018. This feature release also resolves issues reported by customers. This release includes the following:

 

Users REST API Dynamic Groups - Mapped Items

Widgets - Search Order

Share BI Report’s pre-defined parameter selections

 

The next release is 19A, scheduled for a February 15, 2019 general release.

 

Customers who have issues resolved by the 18D release are advised to retest and validate the resolution through their Service Requests in My Oracle Support.

The Oracle Taleo Learn Cloud Service release 18C will be deployed on August 17, 2018. This is a feature release that also resolves issues reported by customers. This feature includes the following:

 

• New External Training Bulk Loader

• Ability to create and update External Training

• Ability to create or update user External Training Completions

 

If you are actively using Secured File Access (File Security) to control user access to Resource Manager files, please review the What's New document found in KM Article: Oracle Learn Cloud Release 18C (Doc ID 2432094.1) prior to the 18C release.

 

The next release is 18D, scheduled for a November 16th general release.

Quarterly Update Model Changes

  • Oracle is shifting exclusively to a quarterly update model to deliver more frequent updates to the Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud.
  • 4 Quarterly Updates - Will deliver low risk incremental feature enhancements addition to bug fixes
  • Maintenance Packs and Express Pack process not impacted
  • No more "Annual Releases"
  • Upgrades: Highly recommended that customers adopt the latest quarterly updates to obtain the benefits of qualify and security improvements as well as uptake low risk incremental capabilities.   (To request a quarterly update, please log a Service Request via My Oracle SupportOracle Talent Acquisition Cloud quarterly updates are not automatically applied.)

 

Quarterly Update Naming Convention

  • 17.6 quarterly update - Q2CY18
  • 17.8 quarterly update - Q3CY18
  • 19A quarterly update  - Q4CY18
  • 19B quarterly update - Q1CY19
  • Etc.

 

Note: Talent Acquisition Cloud will not have an 18.x update series.  It will go from 17.x to 19A to better align with Oracle's quarterly update model.
